Saturating the market with Brockhampton
The Band
Kevin "Ian" Abstract founded Brockhampton under the notion that everyone who ever felt left out, at a young age, could find solace in the music, brand, image, and message that Brockhampton presents.
Redefining the label "Boy Band", Brockhampton strives to take a term that has branded so
many bands in the past in a similar image, and in-turn break that ordinary mold.
With seventeen
young men hailing from multiple states and countries, Brockhampton will have
not
only transformed the notion behind the term boy band, but the way bands
conduct marketing,
production, and sound as a whole.
The Brand
Label-less and thriving,
Brockhampton, does all of their own marketing efforts from social media to
Public Relations. Having made their debut onto the music scene in 2016, the
boys have already released three albums, Saturation 1, 2, and 3, and have sold-out
nationwide on their first U.S. tour.
Appropriately titled, the
Saturation saga was designed to saturate the music industry with their unique
sound and progressive lyrics that delve into the notion of feeling like an outcast and
th realities of feeling out of place from a young age.
Their established sender of their previously stated message
is the above-pictured relatable, diverse, and incredibly creative group of
young millennial men.
The Branding
The Branding
After selecting their senders and desired
receivers, Brockhampton had to establish the means in which would be most
efficient to release and market their unique content to their target market.
These methods include strong, direct, frequent, and technologically advanced
social media content on all social media platforms. Social media is their prime
means of marketing due to their fan base’s reliance on social media and their
tech-savy nature of connecting with the world.
With a direct appeal approach and their ability to relate with their listeners, Brockhampton has certainly saturated the market
in 2017, and with their expertly executed marketing means, they will continue
to-do so in 2018.

As someone who doesn't typically listen to their style of music I am still very drawn to their story and what they stand for. This group if made up of young men from different cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations and with that they provide the perfect outlet for young adults and teens finding their paths in life. People are able to relate to the raw lyrics on each track and that's what makes a good band.
